Eighty Days of SunlightHaunting Not what I expected in all the best ways engagingly and a little hauntingly written with a wealth of wonderful detail about different settings the book factory the works in for a time is particularly well drawn This is a literary coming of age story with a loose but not meandering plot worth your time The characters are well realized if at times a little frustrating in their lack of momentum If you re newish to contemporary literary fiction or if like me you ve been on a steady diet of pacey thrillers for a while and fancy an occasional return to rather intellectual fare this would be a great book to pick up This book is written by Robert Yune in his debut novel He was born in South Korea as a Navy brat and he traveled around the world 11 times before his 18th birthday He has worked in behavioral science health census taking and an interesting fact he was a stand in for George Takei This book is a coming of age story that talks about the prickly relationships between his brothers learning how to trust find his identity and deal with loss The plot is a little complicated but I really lov.
