their personal like most European people choose to have leisure time That has slowed down personal like most European people choose to have leisure time That has slowed down growth and made European countries less competitive No data provided to support this generalizationWhy Japan is slow to innovate The shadow of nuclear radiation "HAS HAUNTED THE JAPANESE PEOPLE FOR YEARS THE FUKUSHIMA "haunted the Japanese people for years The Fukushima disaster severely strained their already frayed nervesOutlook for Japan Some believe that PV manufacturing in Japan cannot avoid the fate of its industrial development leading the world in the early days then being caught up by emerging countries in the middle term and finally suffering a crushing defeatView of the US Since the gold standard was abandoned in the 20th century the US has had freedom to decide on the circulation and value of its currency in line with its own needs It can transfer its economic problems to other countries and take other countries wealth or even make it evaporate without being noticedWhy it is inevitable that only China can win in solar energy The EU is grappling with economic crisis the US is developing shale gas and both are losing their strategic direction to some degree
Japan And South Korea Have and South Korea have own limitations Only China the PV manufacturing powerhouse is ualified to be a strategic PV leaderDiscussion of the impact of the cultural revolution talking about a solar entrepreneur After graduation Mr Liu worked at the Comission for Science Technology and Industry for National Defense From 1968 to 1970 he was sent to a farm in Zhunhai Guangdong Province It was in 1968 that the IT giant Intel was founded From 1970 to 1983 he worked as an assistant researcher at the Foreign Euipment Laboratory in the Institute of COmputing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Science. Hejun s book is really a piece of Chinese propaganda poorly written with a political message This book is not good This book has no structure is rambling and painfully repetitive draws key conclusions from broad sweeping and unsubstantiated generalizations and all but random anecdotes and statistics is incredibly nationalistic and even a bit racistI started reading it hoping to learn the history of the development of the solar industry in China This book is written by the CEO of one of China s largest solar panel manufacturing companies Hanergy so I thought it would be interesting to hear the industry s history and outlook from his presumably knowledgeable and sophisticated perspectiveThis book really fails on all fronts of presenting a thoughtful discussion on any topics but does firmly establish the author s view on China inevitable dominant nation state the future of solar energy only possible form of energy in the future and China s role in that future leader of planet economically by leading the solar energy revolution For example Hejun completely glosses over the causes and potential solutions for the crash of many solar companies in 2012 giving very little discussion beyond blaming general overcapacity and foreign governments for implementing anti dumping tariffs This book
was published in 2012 in the of a very dynamic time for the solar industry especially in China sopublished in 2012 in the midst a very dynamic time for the solar industry especially in China so was very much hoping for an insider s discussion on this but unfortunately the topic was not deemed worthy of a broader explorationTo summarize the entire book Hejun believes that it is inevitable that all future energy will be solar energy with any pursuit of other energy types being worthless and that China has the best resources and abilities to dominate the solar industry which is destined to explode and. China's Solar Powered Revolution China's New Energy Revolution explains how China can tackle its energy bottleneck and achieve a sustainable peaceful rise by taking the lead. Dominate the energy market and will defeat every other country as it rises to its destiny of leading the world And Hanergy the company of which the author is CEO has of
COURSE INVESTED IN EXACTLY THE RIGHTinvested in exactly the right of solar panel and will thus lead the revolutionWhy the book takes 500 pages despite not needing supporting evidence for his claims as Hejun uickly makes many conclusions regarding how all other energy sources are terrible and all other countries are terrible based
on broad generalizations and unsubstantiated opinions he repeats this point ad nauseum in slightly different forms for the entire book Ibroad generalizations and unsubstantiated opinions he repeats this point ad nauseum in slightly different forms for the entire book I out hope and stuck through it to the end believing that at out hope and stuck through it to the end believing that at point he would HAVE to add some new analysis or supporting context at some point but I was wrong His only cited source is on page 310 and can t make this up is a blank reference to Wikipedia Really reads like a high school paper written on a short deadline needing to fill 500 pages Would not recommend this book to anybody even a true solar power crusader Two stars solely for the occasionally interesting insight into a nationalistic Chinese business leaderAnd for fun some of my favorite representative passagesWhy shale gas isn t a long term energy source Putting accusations of it being a Ponzi scheme aside we cannot say that shale gas represents the vanguard since it is a fossil energy In the long run the authentic energy revolution should coincide with epoch making technological innovation That s why we believe that the next energy transformation will happen in the realm of solar powerinstead of shale gas with its uncertain prospects No other sources provided elsewhere of any one ever accusing shale gas of being a Ponzi schemeWhy Europe will fail Low efficiency is commonly seen in all of Europe and has even become someth. In the solar industryThe author covers all the important issues from the vantage points of the economy society industry and business He explores current and future strategies.
