OF THE BOOK IS MONOTONE IN the book is monotone in wax color I think they really missed the mark here This one of I think they really missed the mark here This one of best books about encaustic that I have come across It fits my style of working completely I have recommended it to my students I can t comment on the paper portion of the book as that is not where my interest lies and I have little practically no experience in that area Based on looking over that section and on the well done wax portion of the book I can only guess that it is eually well done What a wonderful resource for anyone interested in encaustic painting I love working with wax and paper seprately and was really excited to find such clear helpful instruction on how to put the two together Very helpful and inspiring I love this book it is full of Michelle s innovations and the paper hound in me really loves that her techniues allow me to integrate hand made paper as the substrate for encaustic wax pieces The only thing better would be to take a workshop from her I will also add that she has uite a few innovations that are uniue uite interesting but not very exciting Probably good if ou have no other books on the subject but it could have gone a lot further The Kindle edition certainly needs some editing headings on one page and the text on the next and a great many typos A lovely book with clear images Arrived promptly Would have given it 5 stars if some of the techniues were not so crafty rather than fine art Still glad I purchased the book however.
